While we lived together, Anja would often leave little notes for me on the kitchen table late at night, just before bed-time, so that I would find and read them next morning before leaving for work. A selection of these is shown below. Read them, and ask yourself what kind of person might pledge such seemingly sincere and passionate love to someone who, just a few short months later, she treated in the most disgraceful and degrading way possible, with less compassion than one might show to a stray dog in the street, when I was told: "No-one wants you here.." on my arrival in Germany to try to see her for a short time.
