Two "Diddl-cards" from Anja, date unknown, but probably sent sometime in 2000. Some "Mon Cheri" liqueur sweets sent at Christmas, 2000, after Anja had left me and returned to Germany. The note which she included with them supposedly reaffirms her love and affection, even though I now know that this was just one more lie in a long sequence. "J'e pense a toi", she says in French. "I think of you". The sweets were never opened, and now they, like the love I was assured of on so many occasions, are long since decayed by time.
